Just because you are a support for others, it doesn’t mean you don’t need support yourself. Sometimes, saying you need a break is much easier than actually having one.

Make time for a break
You could consider a replacement care service to ensure you get the break you need. You don’t need to feel selfish about it; both you and the person you care for will benefit from this.
You can also request a Carers Assessment. This could entitle you to a personal budget or enable you to buy a service privately to get that break you need.
