One of our lovely Carers got back to us to tell us about how we’ve supported her to achieve some much needed ‘me-time’ and the impact that this has on her in relation to her caring role. She said:
“As a carer it is vital to get quality me-time time as it enables me to focus on caring at other times. I used my Time for You Wellbeing Grant for an art session, creating a stained glass boat scene. This gave me a really lovely calm day of creating and learning and I couldn’t have asked for a better de-stress time.
Caring can be very stressful at times but, being able to participate in activities like this makes all the difference. It is only thanks to these opportunities that I get through the tough times because it has given me confidence, friendships and places to go when I need some me-time.
Opportunities like this are few and far between for carers and that makes schemes like this incredibly valuable, thank you."
