Self Care for Carers
Online resources

For carers unable to easily leave the house it's important to find some time for yourself. O

Whilst it's not for everyone, online you might like to read, do a puzzle, watch your favourite soap or you can meet up with friends, learn a new skill or travel the world from the comfort of your armchair.

In partnership with Action for Family Carers Essex Carers Support run a number of Carer Support Groups - some of which are online.  You can find information about when they run and how to join here:

Keep an eye out on our Facebook Group where we advertise other online opportunities run by our partners to meet up

In addition to their 24 hour 'Carer Connect' online forum, Carers UK run a regular series of events.  Keep an eye on their Facebook page for details.

Stream theatre, events and concerts

Theatres and concert halls are beginning to open up but you can still escape your day-to-day routine (and help keep the arts alive!) by streaming concerts, dance, plays and catchy musicals from your computer, tablet or phone.

Get Creative

A number of artists are putting their work and ideas online.

Essex Carers Support has created a short Information Sheet all about Online Resources which you can download.
